Ticks making the news

Most pet owners know that ticks are bad news for our furry family members. But did you know they are pose a risk to the rest of the family too?

Ticks have been in the news recently following former England rugby player Matt Dawson publicising his health problems following a tick bite. Ticks often hang out in wooded areas and long grass so dog walkers and joggers can be particularly susceptible. Matt Dawson was bitten by a tick when out in a London park early last year and it caused a bacterial infection to spread through his body.
